Joy & Self-Acceptance

Inspired by Ken’s philosophy — “Enjoy yourself. If not now, when?”
Creativity begins with kindness toward oneself.

A person wearing a dark beanie and green shirt is sitting at a wooden table, holding a black marker and a blue artwork featuring a black web-like pattern. The person is covering their mouth with one hand. Behind them are four colorful paintings on a white wall, including a tree scene with water, a skull with other designs, and abstract circular patterns.

The Story

Kenneth Michael Grebe lived a wildly authentic creative life.
His work blended humor, symbolism, and intricate visual storytelling across paintings, drawings, and everyday objects transformed into art.

More importantly, Ken cultivated community.
He believed creativity belonged everywhere — at the kitchen table, in the woods, at neighborhood gatherings, and in conversations between strangers.

Following his passing, family, friends, and collaborators came together to carry that spirit forward — ensuring it continues to inspire new work and new connection.

The Kenneth M. Grebe Foundation stewards his legacy while expanding access to creative experiences for others.
