Making Room
Space, Time, and the Conditions for Creative Work
Creative work doesn't happen in a vacuum.
It happens in rooms. At kitchen tables. In shared studios. In corners of busy lives. Between responsibilities, relationships, day jobs, and the endless demands on our attention.
For January's Art to Art gathering, we'll explore the spaces that support creative practice—both physical and invisible.
How do we make room for the work?
What environments help us create?
How do we protect our time, energy, attention, and boundaries?
And what happens when the conditions we need don't yet exist?
Together, we'll discuss studios, shared spaces, home practices, routines, creative boundaries, and the realities of building a life that allows creativity to thrive.
The evening will include guided discussion, anonymous audience questions, community conversation, and a brief creative wellness component.
Because creative work doesn't just require inspiration.
It requires room to happen.
