Seen and Unseen
Visibility, Vulnerability, and Sharing the Work
Every artist must eventually decide what to do with the work.
Some share it widely. Some keep it close. Some move between visibility and privacy throughout their creative lives.
For November's Art to Art gathering, we'll explore the complicated relationship between making and sharing: exhibiting work, showing process, building an audience, maintaining boundaries, navigating criticism, and deciding what belongs in public and what remains private.
What makes us willing to share?
What makes us hold back?
How much visibility is enough?
And who are we making the work for in the first place?
The evening will include guided discussion, anonymous audience questions, community conversation, and a brief creative wellness component.
Ken rarely sought attention for his work, yet he shared it generously with others. His example reminds us that there are many ways for art to move through the world.
